2008 Cruise Planners Convention
Published Monday, October 20th 2008 - Updated Monday, October 20th 2008Cruise Planners Convention 2008 was held in Ft. Lauderdale for 3 days at the Crown Plaza Ft. Lauderdale at Sawgrass Mills & then a 3 day cruise aboard Holland America's newest "dam ship", the Eurodam.
Crown Plaza Ft. Lauderdale at Sawgrass Mills signature service catered to our every need & left nothing to chance in hosting nearly 300 Cruise Planners. From the AM breakfast buffet, meeting rooms with exceptional space & amenities, to numerous staff personally thanking each & everyone one of us we departed, we commend Crown Plaza Ft. Lauderdale at Sawgrass Mills for their exceptional hospitality!
Speaking of Sawgrass Mills….Directly across from the Crown Plaza is a shopping experience like no other! Sawgrass Mills is Florida’s largest retail & entertainment center with more than 350 name brand stores & outlets, from Ron Jon Surf Shop to the Cheese Cake Factory, where we enjoyed an exceptional dinner & of course had trouble deciding which cheesecake flavor to savor for desert!!
Boarding the Eurodam on Wednesday with 300 Cruise Planners in addition to the ‘regular’ passengers went surprisingly smooth! Though Ft Lauderdale’s Port Everglades terminal is one of the 3 busiest cruise ports worldwide, it’s cleanliness & professionally efficient staff lend to enjoyable boarding experience, even with hundreds of people all trying to board.
Check out my separate entry on the ‘on board’ experiences on the Eurodam!!
Happy Travels!
Carl
